Hinge has this year put a slight twist on its annual “most eligible” list of singles on the platform.
This year, the company has instead released a list of the most eligible social media stars.
Each listing, which covers categories like fitness, photography, arts and lifestyle, includes information such as name, place of work, Instagram handle, number of followers, city and a link to their dating profile.
If you open this link on mobile, you are taken to that person’s Hinge profile.
Included in the top 10 is lifestyle influencer and The Bachelor contestant Ashley Iaconetti, who has over 586k followers, comedian Cody Kolodziejzyk and Atlanta-based fellow The Bachelor contestant Josh Murray.
The change of tact is clever from Hinge, as placing these social media influencers on the list harnesses each person’s audience to help promote Hinge, as many have reposted their placing on their social accounts to their thousands of followers.
