Able Joseph, founder of Aisle, posted on Twitter: “It’s been 6 years since we launched Aisle. The journey so far has been nothing short of a miracle”.
He then listed some of the highlights from the app’s past, including how it has been installed by three million people worldwide, and being amongst the top five grossing dating apps in India.
The Bangalore-based app has seen a 20% surge in new users during lockdown, despite the majority of its business model being based around offline events.
It now organises paid online group sessions via Zoom for people looking to make connections from their homes.
Aisle hosted its first offline speed-dating event at the end of 2019. Couples were automatically matched on the app if they both enjoyed their initial interaction.
