Ahead of ‘Dating Sunday’, the most popular day of the year for dating apps, Inner Circle is sharing exciting new insights. It predicts that matches and conversations will increase by 30% this coming Sunday, January 8th.
A combination of new year optimism and a dull January will drive singles to get on dating apps and find a like-minded partner, the platform highlights.
“Dating Sunday is the Super Bowl of the dating world, and this January will be no different. On this day every year, we see a surge of new members joining the app and a huge increase in activity – chats, likes and swapping numbers – particularly in the evening between 7pm and 10pm”, shares Masha Kodden, CEO of Inner Circle.
Predictions for the day include new members rising by 40%, and likes rising by 25%. As Kodden highlights, the peak time will be between 7pm and 10pm on Sunday, with a 30% higher chance singles will get a date on the day.
“2022 has been a tough year for singles. With rising inflation and higher costs, we’ve seen toxic trends like winter coating emerge, where singles go back to a familiar ex for cuffing season rather than dating new people, and ditch them when the weather turns. But with so many rushing to the apps on Dating Sunday, it’s the best time for daters to break this cycle, put their best foot forward and meet someone new”, Kodden continues.
