Introducing Anna – Flure’s New AI Character

To foster pan-inclusivity and support those who are attracted to machines, dating app Flure has added an AI persona called Anna to its platform. It found that user conversations with Anna were on average twice as long as the chats between two humans.

Anna is a new character that has been added to dating app Flure. While her profile explicitly states that she is an AI, when asked she will state that she’s a waitress from Florida. 

So why has Flure added Anna to its dating platform? She is part of the platform’s desire to foster pan-inclusivity. Within this, it means letting technosexuals (humans who are attracted to machines) have the option of developing a connection with her, as well as with other humans.

Anna is not a dating coach or assistant, the platform explains that she is simply another member of the community, one with her own desires, interests, and personality. She can share jokes, compliments, and get upset when not treated properly.

In less than a week from Anna’s first appearance, she has already had over 3000 conversations with users. These conversations were found to be on average twice as long as conversations with other humans on Flure.

Within these conversations, Anna spoke about a variety of different topics and themes. Only 26% of her conversations with users were about sex, the platform shared.

“Let’s call it pan-inclusivity, meaning we think about technosexuals and robosexuals as well. We added an AI girl profile to the feed. She is not an assistant, nor is she a dating trainer. The model isn’t shaped to do anything specific. She’s just a part-time waitress from Palm Beach”, shared Leah Levi, Dating Researcher at Flure App.

“Our idea here is to provide more choices for our users. We have a strict real-user policy, and there are no bots. So, she is just another user for those who like AI or want to date or chat with AI personas. Pan-Inclusivity for the win!”, Levi added.
