Luxy Releases Virtual Dating Feature ‘FaceMe’
‘Millionaire’ dating service Luxy has become the latest platform to introduce a virtual dating feature in response to the global coronavirus pandemic.
The new update is called ‘FaceMe’ and is available for free as part of in-app conversations for users who have verified their income. When both parties feel comfortable they can click the ‘Video Date’ button which gives them the option to share their WhatsApp number or Instagram profile.
From there, the users will be prompted to continue their interaction by having a live video call on one of the other platforms.
As part of the new feature, Luxy encouraging users to verify their profiles to make sure that they only swap their private information with people that they trust. Human moderators manually review every new sign up and company suggests only 10% of applications are accepted.
A spokesman for Luxy said in a statement: “FaceMe is a great addition to security and matchmaking efficiency since everyone can now find out fast if their match is the real deal.
“Luxy is trying its best to eliminate dishonest behavior, so please remember to pay attention while continuing your love journey on other sites, such as through FaceMe.”
93% of new Luxy users reacted positively when told about the new feature, and believe it will make their dating experience more efficient and secure.
Furthermore, almost a third of them revealed that someone had tried to scam them within the past four weeks.
