Matrimony.com Opens New Office in Dubai
Matrimony.com has opened a new office in the United Arab Emirates, signalling the brand’s first move into the Middle Eastern market. The office is situated at the Fortune Executive Tower near the Dubai coastline.
The move is being conducted through BharatMatrimony, the company’s flagship brand.
Matrimony.com CEO Murugavel Janakiraman said in a statement: “More than 2 million Indians live in the Middle East and a majority of them are from South India where BharatMatrimony is a well-known brand.
“We are looking to tap this huge opportunity and believe that an office here can help us expand our footprint and serve our customers better in this region.”
More strategic expansions in the Middle East could be seen in the near future, as Matrimony.com is looking take its matchmaking and marriage services to as many people in the region as possible.
The company reported a 30% profit hit in its most recent financial report as it looked to invest more into marketing.
Sushanth Pai will begin his new role as BharatMatrimony’s CFO on Saturday, December 15th, following the retirement of K Balasubramanian.
