Military Personnel Receive Free Dating.com Credits to Celebrate Independence Day
Dating.com is offering free memberships to service men and women as part of an Independence Day promotion.
The first 50 active duty or military reserve service men and women will be gifted with $100 worth of free credits. These can be redeemed on a variety of features such as personal chats, media sharing or participation in livestream sessions.
New signups must be able to prove their military service by authenticating their account with relevant identification.
According to company data, 75% of users have expressed an interest in matching with a member of the military on their profile.
Maria Sullivan, vice president and relationship expert for Dating.com, said in a statement: “Love and companionship are two of the strongest influences on morale, and Dating.com is here to provide for the nearly 40% of our troops who use online dating apps in the best way we know how.
“We believe support goes beyond just one day, and are thrilled to honor our servicemen and women all month long.”
The online dating platform ran a similar promotion in May to mark ‘Uncuffing Season’, a time when couples may look to break off relationships in order to be single over the summer period.
Members were given $100 in free credits if they could submit a legal document that proved they had just gotten divorced.
