Dating app OkCupid has announced a new partnership with Romedy Now, India’s most popular rom-com channel.
The dating brand will feature in a new chat show titled ‘Love, Laugh, Live’, wherein host Faye D’Souza asks celebrity guests questions about their romantic lives.
The questions come from the in-app list on OKC, so viewers can download the Match Group product after watching and use the same content to help build their own profiles.
Shruti Gupta, Brand Manager of OkCupid India, says, “The show focuses on these much loved celebrities as real people with real lives. It is about who they actually are behind the glitz and glamour, what they like or dislike and the kind of relationship they have had or are looking for. This made it the perfect platform for OkCupid, as the best app for meaningful relationships, to get associated with and help reveal the love lives of these celebrities.
“At OkCupid, we believe that all good relationships begin with the right questions and honest answers. Hence, we wanted to speak to these superachievers, who have always been honest and real about who they are, and encourage our users to actually speak up for what matters to them most to find the right partner who shares the same values and beliefs as them.”
Guests in the opening episodes included Tennis Champion Sania Mirza, Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan and Director-Producer Zoya Akhtar.
The show began in mid-September, and now airs every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday on Indian television. Producers say they have a ‘wildcard’ guest lined up for the end of the series.
In August, the dating brand launched a new India-focused campaign titled ‘Find My Kind’.
