Push Notification Experts Leanplum Add New CPO and CRO

Mobile engagement platform Leanplum, the company behind Tinder’s push notifications, has added a new Chief Product Officer and Chief Revenue Officer this January.

The CPO role will be taken on by Michael Ramsay, formerly of Salesforce. He said: “I was truly drawn to Leanplum given the fact that it is committed to being a strategic partner to its customers.

“I plan to help the organization disrupt legacy players and maintain this momentous trajectory by delivering real, tangible value to our customers by building great products.”

Kate FitzGerald is the company’s new CRO. She holds experience in top sales roles for Marketo, Oracle Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud.

She said: “Having come from legacy CRM platforms, it was obvious to me that Leanplum is an absolute mobile engagement powerhouse. My focus here is to help usher brands into the next era where they fully understand how to build lasting customer relationships.”

Leanplum was one of the companies to earn Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 Award, after achieving a 3-year growth rate of 809%.

The firm recently collaborated with Liftoff on the Mobile App Engagement Index 2018, a report which considered acquisition and retention in the app economy.

The report found increased enthusiasm for subscription-based apps, and a resultant decline in the cost of subscriber acquisition. Costs fell from over $160 per user in the previous year to under $90.
