Spectrum Labs Raises $10 Million in Series A Funding Round

Spectrum Labs has closed its latest round of Series A funding, having raised a total of $10 million from a number of VC investors. 

The round was led by Greycroft, a New York-based technology investments firm, with assistance from Wing Venture Capital, Ridge Ventures, Global Founders Capital and Super{set}.

It is Spectrum Labs’ largest individual funding round, and the company has now raised approximately $14 million to date.

Justin Davis, CEO of Spectrum Labs, told TechCrunch: “We were all looking for some way to get involved [in combating online toxicity]. We wanted to use our big data experience to do some good in the world.”

Spectrum Labs today works across a wide-range of industry’s, including online dating, where it counts The Meet Group as one of its biggest clients, gaming and social networks.

Davis added in a personal blog post: “We’re relying on the Internet more than ever this year, so our mission has never been more critical.

“We’re honored to welcome our investors and customers to the community fighting back the tide of online toxicity and we look forward to continuing to help make the internet a safer place for all.”
