SALT is a Christian dating app that uses modern technology to help singles find a long-term relationship with someone who shares their faith.
It was inspired by the variety of already available religious dating websites, but the founders identified a gap in the market for an app-based platform for the Millennial and Gen Z generations. However, it remains of the utmost importance that SALT adheres to traditional Christian values and teachings.
SALT is now available in the UK and Australia, with aims for more global expansions in the near future. Daters are using it to meet more people on their own terms outside of their local church community, without interference from their family members.
Paul Rider co-founded SALT after his established background in economics led to a particular interest in the consumer tech startups.
He appeared on The GDI Podcast to talk about the history of the app, how development has progressed over the past couple of years and what the main goals are for the future.
