Tinder Now Lets Users Send Full-Screen Animated Visuals In Chat

A new product update from Tinder allows users to send animated visuals while chatting with matches.

Called Tinder Reactions, the in-chat feature enables singles to react to messages with full-screen animations.

Reactions include things like the “eyeroll”, the “three strikes”, “ball’s in your court” and the “really?!” button, as demonstrated below.

Users can also virtually throw a drink in their match’s face with the Martini reaction.

To send reactions, you click the icon to the left of the GIF box when messaging someone, and are shown the various reaction you can send.

The feature is a progression from the GIF tool Tinder released last March in collaboration with GIPHY.

In addition to being a fun addition for users of the app, the company said it helped to increase the length of conversations on the dating service – exchanges that included a GIF lasting twice as long.

The release of Tinder Reactions was backed up by a series of short videos titled The Menprovement Initiative, which sees Tinder’s female employees brainstorm how to handle rude men on the platform with the help of actress Whitney Cummings.
