The couple, Josh Avsec and Michelle Arendas, first matched on the dating app in 2014.
They continued to chat on the dating app, but the replies were on the slow side, the short conversation lasting just over three years.
Then last week, Josh Avsec posted screenshots of their three year long Tinder conversation on social media, and the tweet went viral.
Hahahaha one day I’m going to meet this girl and it’s going to be epic. Look at the dates of our tinder texts. pic.twitter.com/DASQK4c5cX

Lots of people responded to the tweet, with Perez Hilton even chiming in to support the couple.

And after receiving lots of attention on social media, with over 12k people retweeting Josh’s post, Tinder then joined in the conversation with an interesting offer.
The dating app offered to send Josh and Michelle to a location of their choosing so they could finally have their first date, saying: “It’s time you got together in IRL. You have 24 hrs to decide the city you want to have your first date in and we’ll send you there!”

Josh replied saying that “after a long debate”, he and Michelle had decided to accept their offer, asking Tinder to send them to Maui, the dating app agreeing, replying: “You can’t take take two years to pack your bags!”
