Tinder Uni Launches in the UK
Dating app Tinder is launching a feature to help university students to match with one another. The service can only be accessed by students, and has already been deployed in American universities.
The app ensures that users of this new feature are students by asking them to register with their university email, which typically ends in ac.uk. After verifying the code with their school email, users will see their university colours appear on their profile, Mashable shares.
Users will be able to switch back and forth between regular Tinder and the university only experience. Potential matches that come up on Tinder Uni won’t be restricted to just the university of the user, it will display students from different schools as well.
Research from Tinder found that 53% of graduates in the UK met a current or previous partner while studying, with 62% of that group still seeing that partner.
