Venntro Media Group has just launched its second new dating platform in a week, a social discovery app designed to help users make more meaningful connections.
Jiko is the UK-based dating group’s new mobile product, which allows users to create unique profiles by gathering information from their personal Instagram account.
According to Venntro, this helps daters generate a “fuller picture of their interests” and personality.
The app has taken inspiration from the mechanisms used by popular dating apps like Tinder and Happn, giving users the ability to swipe left or right through people they have crossed paths with.
Jiko also offers users free in-app messaging, the ability to send “winks” to other users, and the option to retract their initial swipe on someone’s profile, like Tinder’s rewind feature.
Speaking about the launch, Venntro CEO Ross Williams said: “We’re really excited to be adding such a strong product to our growing portfolio.
“Ultimately, our mission is to help our members make meaningful connections. Jiko will help us engage with a new demographic to do exactly that.
“Our research has shown us that younger demographics typically engage more with visual profiles. That’s why we made the decision to help members create personalised profiles with unique content from their Instagram feeds.
“This helps them to showcase their true personality. And with all the core features being free to use, we’re breaking down communication barriers to make starting the first conversation as easy as possible.”
Earlier this week, Venntro launched SomethingSerious.com, a new site for daters tired of the repetitive and casual nature of many dating apps.
The company currently operates more than 25,000 dating sites worldwide, including Smooch.com, JustSingles.com and White Label Dating.
