Yoti Joins Partnership with TrulyMadly After Indian Market Launch

Yoti announced its entry into the Indian market earlier this month.

Yoti has now gained its first partnership in India after launching its services, collaborating with dating app TrulyMadly to try and profile its users and create a safer community for online daters.

TrulyMadly users are now able to benefit from Yoti features to verify their personal details, including their name and age.

This will increase the Trust Score on their profile, which will then assure other users that the profile is genuine, making them more likely to match with them.

Yoti has now been downloaded over 500,000 times on the Play Store. The company raised eight million pounds in November.

Madhu Nori, International Commercial Director of Yoti, said: “Our founders come from a gaming background. In the course of running that business they needed to verify identities because there are fairly strong regulatory requirements around it. They found a lot of money was being spent and there was friction in that process. That is the trigger for starting the identity-based product company.”

He added: “The idea was to empower the consumer. Give them the power to give their information by themselves and share what is the requirement. That has never been done before.”

The company is currently targeting the Indian, US and UK markets, and is looking at financial and banking services, dating, peer to peer commerce and insurance sectors for more partnerships.

Yoti are reportedly in talks with top banks for partnerships in India.
