Name: Ilja Terebin
Company: Mint
Role: Investor/CEO
Which app or program do you check first thing in the morning?
Mint, Instagram, Gmail, Google Analytics and our Internal Analytics to monitor key metrics.
What does your typical day look like?
I wake up at around 6am, exercise, walk on the beach with my dog, and have some fruit for breakfast. I then follow my plan which had been prepared the previous evening. Usually I arrive back home after 8pm, and in the evening I spend time with my family, read books and keep working.
Which app can’t you live without?
It would be sad not to be able to live without apps or even internet.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Fortunately, I do not separate my time between free and busy. I’m always free and always do what I really want to do in that moment of time.
Who is your professional inspiration?
When I was teenager my favourite books and films were about people/companies who reached high achievements and I was inspired a lot by these stories. Right now I am inspired by my personal needs – the desire to create and desire to keep changing myself.
What is your favourite film?
It was always Godfather, but we are changing all the time and our favourite films are changing together with us. Right now I can hardly name just one favourite film. I wish everyone would watch Earthlings – it’s the most important film made by human.
What TV show/s are you currently watching?
I haven’t watched TV for the last decade so I know nothing about TV shows. Isn’t it a waste of time?
What’s on your music playlist at the moment?
More often I listen to Classical or Jazz radio on Apple Music, or enjoy silence.
Outside of dating, which brand do you admire most?
All the rebels who didn’t want to play by someone else’s rules: Jesus Christ, Buddha and others who are still in trend after thousands of years.
Who should we follow on Twitter?
I don’t use Twitter anymore.
Best advice you have received?
Washing the dishes to wash the dishes. Which means to be completely aware of what you are doing.
Do you have any productivity tips?
Each evening I make a plan for the next day – it helps me a lot. I noticed that it is more effective than making it in the morning.
Sleeping time is very productive for our brain, as important processes go on in the brain during that time.
When we are sleeping our brain processes information it received during the previous day, and it is getting prepared for the tasks we have planned for the next day.
