Pinterest Enables Amazon Storefront Linking for Eligible Creators
Pinterest has added a new integration that allows eligible creators with Amazon Storefront accounts to link their storefronts directly to their Pinterest profiles. The feature automatically applies the creator’s Amazon affiliate information when tagging products in Pins, eliminating the need for manual entry of links or IDs.
Amazon Storefront lets creators curate collections of recommended products and earn commissions on related sales. With the Pinterest update, creators can now expand these promotions to Pins, potentially increasing discovery and reach. Their Amazon Storefront handle will appear on their Pinterest profile, providing another pathway for followers to access recommended products.
The change fits into Pinterest’s broader focus on shopping and product discovery. The platform reports that over 50% of its 631 million monthly active users visit to shop, generating more than 80 billion searches per month. Simplified affiliate linking could encourage more consistent creator activity and attributed sales within the app.
This development is part of Pinterest’s ongoing efforts to strengthen e-commerce tools and creator monetization options. By making it easier to connect external storefronts, the platform aims to improve the shopping experience without requiring users to leave the app. As platforms compete for creator attention and user spending, tools like this may become more common.
