A recent article published by the New York Times speaks to the chairman of the company responsible for the largest public offering the dating industry has seen to date.

Barry Diller is currently standing as Chairman and Senior Executive of InterActive Corp (IAC), the conglomerate which took its online dating subsidiary, The Match Group public last week.

The group’s initial public offering last Thursday left it with an evaluation of around $3.7bn.

In the interview, Diller talks about his “one foot in front of the other” business model, which is responsible for creating more value for shareholders over the last two decades than Disney and Microsoft.

The article also glimpses into Diller’s life before his success in the Internet business, his successful Hollywood career and his affiliation with Silver King Communications.
