Zoosk have hired former Electronic Arts executive Mike Riccio as their VP of Engineering.

Riccio was Vice President of Engineering and Architecture at the global gaming company.

He will oversee engineering efforts on Zoosk’s mobile and desktop platforms, as the company brings in new technologies.

At the end of August, Zoosk introduced a new photo verification feature that allows users to confirm the authenticity of their profile pictures.

To do this, they have to record a short video selfie, that captures their features from different angles.

At EA, Riccio also served as General Manager of EA’s mobile platform, and Chief Architect of their digital platform.

Before this, he co-founded and was CTO of pogo.com, an online casual gaming site that was acquired by EA.

Peter Offringa, Senior VP of Engineering at Zoosk: “As an executive with over 20 years of experience in software development and management, Mike brings tremendous vision and insight to Zoosk’s engineering team.”
