Cupid have launched a new brand in the US, 40+ singles site LoveBeginsAt.com.

LoveBeginsAt is a niche site for “savvy, experienced and more refined daters”.

The site comes with chat room features, and a mobile app on iOS and Android.

The launch of the site by Edinburgh-based Cupid is part of a renewed activity under the guidance of new CEO Phil Gripton.

Earlier in the year, Cupid launched Uniform Dating in Australia, which will be expanded into the US soon.

When they launch the brand in the US, Cupid will trial a new pay-as-you-go model.

Speaking about LoveBeginsAt, Gripton said:

“While the number of niche dating sites is growing in the US, there hasn’t been real attention on this demographic until now with 40 percent of 40+ singles in the US more inclined to sit in traffic than go on a bad first date, our aim is to get this discerning, unique audience out of traffic and into great first dates.”

LoveBeginsAt will hold several social events hosted by events startup Dishcrawl.

The culinary events planner will organise activities like celebrity chef pop-up dinners, and cocktail hours in New York, San Francisco and Washington DC.

The site’s subscription packages are $29 per month for the 1 and 3 month packages, or $19 for the 6 month package.
