Zoosk Launch Date Feedback Feature
Zoosk have launched a new feature that lets users give feedback on the people they are chatting to.
When two users have exchanged a “significant number” of messages, the Date Feedback tool will pop up and ask them about their conversation, and whether they expect to go on a date.
The data will be added to Zoosk’s Behavioural Matchmaking system, to try and create better matches that result in more offline dates.
Shayan Zadeh, co-founder and CEO of Zoosk said:
“At Zoosk, we are constantly improving our technology to help our members discover fulfilling relationships, and Date Feedback will be one of the first ways we’re able to add offline dates to the list of signals our algorithm can take into account for matchmaking,”
For the month of June, Zoosk was the third highest app in terms of revenue in the UK – outside of gaming.
Zoosk was joined in the top 10 by Match.com, Badoo and Grindr.
The San Francisco-based company filed for a $100m IPO in April, revealing they have 26m members, with 650,000 subscribers in over 80 countries.
In 2013, their revenue rose 63% to $178.2m, up from $109.1m the year before.
