OkCupid Expanding Gender And Sexuality Options

OkCupid are expanding their range of gender and sexuality options for users.

Some customers have reported receiving the following message, saying that they are rolling out new options:

“We’re in the process of expanding gender and orientation options to build a more inclusive OKCupid.

“You’re part of a select group with access to this feature.

“Keep in mind as we continue to work on this feature: For now, editing your gender and orientation is only supported on the desktop site.”

Amongst these choices for sexuality are: straight, gay, bisexual, asexual, demisexual, heteroflexible, homoflexible, pansexual, queer, questioning and sapiosexual.

And for gender, OkCupid users will soon be able to choose between: woman, man, agender, androgynous, bigender, cis man, cis woman, genderfluid, genderqueer, gender nonconforming, hijra, intersex, non-binary, other, pangender, transfeminine, transgender, transmasculine, transsexual, trans man, trans woman and two spirit.

Earlier in the year, Match.com changed, and apologised for, their policy that made bisexual users pay twice to search through both genders.

Facebook also recently introduced a whole host of new gender options for users to choose from.
