Three Men Jailed For Sexually Assaulting 12-Year-Old Girl They Met On OkCupid

Three men from the US have been jailed for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl they met on OkCupid.

The three Pennsylvania men were tried at Lancaster County Court for sexually assaulting the girl, who they all met on the online dating site.

Ryan Minzer, 26, Aaron Boas, 26 and Carlos Jarvis, 24, pleaded guilty to the charges, and all said they believed the girl to be 18 years old, according to Lancaster Online.

The three men separately made contact with the girl on OkCupid, and all met her in separate incidents over a month.

Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield told Lancaster Online: “The facts of these cases, on their face, make it easy for the defense attorneys to blame the victim.

“However, the child in these cases is only thirteen and it is the responsibility of the adults to refrain from the behaviours that occurred here.”

Judge Dennis Reinaker said the men must serve one to two years in jail, and five years of probation, as well as being placed on the sex offender list.

During the court proceedings, the lawyer of Carlos Jarvis, Cory Miller, said the girl continued to use OkCupid following the charges, but has now stopped following intervention from local Children & Youth services.
