Axon Partners Group Invests in Mi Media Manzana

Axon Partners Group has invested in Mi Media Manzana through the Amerigo Ventures Pacific Fund.

Axon Partners Group is a Spanish investment and consulting firm with a division of VC & PE which manages funds in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Mi Media Manzana is one of the leading online dating platforms in Latin America, and is seeking to accelerate its growth and strengthen its operations.

Mi Media Manzana has been operating since 2014 and has since become the most downloaded mobile application on the Google Play Store in Latin America from the “Dating” category within the countries of Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico.

The average user on the platform is 35 years old and is looking for a long-term relationship. They apparently take an average of four to eight weeks to find a partner on the platform.

Mi Media Manzana will reportedly reach one million downloads in the Google Play Store this month.

With the new investment, the platform is also expecting to exceed the 500,000 active users per month by 2019.

Concerning the sum of the investment, Neira told GDI: “The only thing we can comment is that this is one of the most significant transactions in the Peruvian startup ecosystem.”
