Badoo has posted a job advert on LinkedIn looking for a new Chief Marketing Officer.
The company outlines that the main goal of the job is to continue to drive growth, especially in the number of monthly active users across global markets.
Badoo recently passed the 400 million user milestone, so the successful applicant will be tasked with taking the already large business on to the next level.
One section of the LinkedIn advert reads: “You will lead on the development and launch of a new Badoo brand, build the marketing function into a team to deliver world class performance across all channels, and work towards doubling the active users on Badoo app across the world.”
Other responsibilities that come with the job include: driving brand awareness, running campaigns, building a world-class team and budgeting.
Speaking to GDI, departing CMO Gaston Tourn said: ” (…) although the marketing plans for Badoo are really exciting, I had another incredible opportunity that I couldn’t say no to.”
Any applicant must have a proven track record of generating growth in an entrepreneurial environment. Having experience in an international market is listed as being a bonus, further emphasising Badoo’s desire to expand globally.
GDI interviewed Badoo’s Head of Growth Marketing Ira Krachanovskaya, who will be working very closely with the new CMO. She echoed the sentiments in the job description by saying that the main targets for the next twelve months are “growth and finding love for all of our users.”
