Bumble is partnering with renowned designer Ariel Okin and Maisonette, a boutique marketplace selling products for young children, to reward one single mother this upcoming Mother’s Day.
The winner will receive a private consultation with Okin and $5,000 worth of Maisonette merchandise, to give their child’s bedroom the “ultimate” makeover. The competition opened at the beginning of the week and will run until the 9th May when Mother’s Day is celebrated in the US.
To enter, women need to follow all three partners on Instagram and comment their best piece of advice for other mums on one of the competition posts. It’s hoped that this will create an invaluable resource for everyone even if they don’t win.
Participants are also asked to tag their deserving friends and get them to enter as well.
One of Bumble’s aims is to let women know that they can achieve anything they want and that motherhood doesn’t need to end their professional career. Whitney Wolfe Herd gave birth to her first son at the end of 2019 and held him by her side as she celebrated the company’s recent IPO.
Not long after announcing her pregnancy, the CEO introduced a range of new benefits for new parents, including financial bonuses, flexible leave and start times.
Bumble was recently named on the inaugural TIME100 Most Influential Companies list as a “pioneer”. The inclusion recognised Bumble’s creation of a safer way to date and the variety of ways it encourages women to make the first move.
