Chispa, Match Group’s dating app for Latinx singles, has partnered with ‘Avocados From Mexico’ for a unique digital experience which helps the community connect over their shared culture.
The collaboration is two-fold, starting with a virtual ‘Guac Lover’ badge that users can display on their profile. This will help them meet others who have a similar passion for food and avocados.
For every virtual badge added, Chispa will make a donation to Celebration Nation to give back to the hardworking Latinx farmworkers.
The second part is ‘Guacamoments’, an online experience which includes fun personality quizzes and the opportunity to win big prizes, like a new pickup truck.
Julia Estacolchic, Head of Brand for Chispa, said in a statement: “We realize that food brings people together in our community, especially among Latinx singles, and our partnership with Avocados From Mexico goes to the heart with the love and affection that Latinos have for avocados, a staple food in our culture.
“We invite our Chispa community to participate in this fun digital experience – it’s a move in the ripe direction!”
An internal survey from Chispa found that 46% of its users believe that preparing guacamole can be a fun and romantic activity to do with a partner.
The campaign is scheduled to last until 20th December so users have the time to find a partner for this cuffing season.
