eHarmony has just hired a new marketing director for Australia.

Nicole McInnes is joining the dating giant from Pandora, where she was the marketing director for Australia and New Zealand.

During her time at the streaming service, McInnes was responsible for all marketing and listener touchpoints to drive growth in both markets from the Sydney office – Pandora’s first international office.

The included launching Pandora’s first local brand campaign which drove a 40% increase in acquisition YoY, and a 10% increase in active listeners MoM.

McInnes has over 20 years experience in marketing, previously being CMO of Adshel, as well as holding executive roles at American Express, AAPT & Dell.

Speaking about her new role, McInnes said: “I am incredibly excited to be joining eHarmony Australia next month and leading the team as we explore new opportunities to expand the business in Australia and the APAC region.

“eHarmony is such an iconic brand and it is an honour to be part of a company that has a firm grip on the future and helps bring love to Australians’ lives.”

She joins the team a month after eHarmony started advertising the vacancy, with former marketing head Lynsey Tomkinson announcing plans to move to the UK.

The new marketing director will oversee all marketing efforts in Australia across TV & Radio, as well as online — PPC, SEO, Affiliates, Display, Online Video, Mobile — as well as brand & creative and CRM.

Speaking about the new director, eHarmony president and COO Armen Avedissian said: “Australia is one of our most profitable international markets and I am confident that under Nicole’s leadership we will accelerate our business momentum in Australia and continue to drive strong revenue growth.”
