Last week, we announced our next dating industry event – a one-day conference similar to our previous London & Amsterdam events, and a brand new startup competition, Spotlight on Startups.
The new event will see the most exciting and innovative new dating startups battle each other to be named the GDI Spotlight winner.
Today, we are announcing more details about this event and opening up the application process, so startups can start to send their applications in.
As we said last week, during the evening event, we will provide pizza and drinks as the hottest new dating startups pitch, get questioned by attendees & experts, before the winners are picked by an audience vote.
For the competition, there are two categories: early stage and growth stage.
The format will work like this: after the free application process, those chosen as finalists for both categories by the GDI team will all pitch on the night to our audience and dating industry experts.
Throughout the event, there will be breaks for food, drinks and networking, and after all the finalists have pitched to the room, and been asked questions by attendees & experts, the audience will decide who wins by public vote.
The startup competition, which runs from 7pm — 9pm on 27th October, will be held at The Singer Tavern near Old Street, and will be followed by an after party.
All those startups who make it past the application process to be a finalist on the night will be given two free tickets to the evening.
For the free application process, we’ve created a short series of questions available in a downloadable form, where we ask you to provide some information about your company and answer a few questions.
The application process ends on the 27th September, and we will announce the finalists for both categories soon after.
To apply to the Spotlight on Startups competition, please download the application form here, and send the completed form back to us here.
Tickets are available for both the conference & startup event, with limited early bird rates ending on the 9th September.
