LinkedIn Names Bumble as a Hot US Startup

Professional networking platform LinkedIn has included Bumble in its 2019 list of the top US startups to work for.

The female-first social app was ranked 30th on the list, which contains the hottest young companies that have been growing fast and attracting new talent over the past 12 months.

It’s the second consecutive year that Bumble is included, having reached the 39th position in 2018.

LinkedIn estimates that there are 100 people based at the Bumble headquarters in Austin, and that the employee headcount continues to grow 60% year-on-year. Whitney Wolfe Herd has revealed plans for the company to move to a larger office space in the city at some point next year.

Bumble’s Chief of Staff Caroline Ellis Roche told LinkedIn: “Kindness, authentic connections and helping end misogyny are foundational to everything we do at Bumble.”

The brand is currently on the lookout for its first Chief Marketing Officer, who will oversee the US and international marketing departments in an effort to grow the global user base.

At the start of this week Bumble unveiled its new ‘Find Them On Bumble’ advertising campaign in London. It featured 53 Bizz users who spoke about their experiences networking on the app and why they think London is the best city for aspiring entrepreneurs.

At the top of LinkedIn’s list is Snowflake, a computer software company that helps big organisations move data to the cloud.
