Nerd Nite London To Host Speed Dating Event On Star Wars Day
To celebrate this year’s Star Wars Day, Nerd Nite London has teamed up with Science Showoff to host its first ever speed dating event.
On May the 4th, the company will host its monthly non-profit event, where speakers give a 21 minute long talk on a topic of their choosing to an audience.
Taking place at the Hackney Picture House in London, the evening will feature a talk from scientist and TV expert Dr. Emily Grossman entitled “X —Rated Weird and Wonderful Science Facts”.
Following the talk, attendees will take part in a round of speed dating, and are given four minutes slots where they can get to know each other.
Following the standard speed dating format, guests will then give in their score cards and all matched individuals will be put in contact with each other.
Previous talks at Nerd Nite London have been delivered by Leila Johnston, Woman of the Year Diana Nammi, and Wellcome science book prize winner, Dr. Richard Stephens.
There are a total of 40 tickets available for the event (20 men and 20 women), priced at £20 each.
