New Google Analytics Home Screen Live For 50% Of Users

Google Analytics

The new Google Analytics home screen is now available to 50% of all users.

This was announced by Google Analytics Project Manager Ajay Nainani on Twitter, who said the users were selected at random.

The new Home screen gives you both an overview of your site’s recent performance, as well as a tally of its current status.

Most of the page is taken up with a graph showing your site’s recent performance – the time period likely customisable by seven days, two weeks, a month etc – letting you see your total users, revenue generated, conversion rate and number of sessions.

The home page also shows you how many users are currently on your site, and which pages are the most active.

Below this, from Nainani’s screenshot it looks like there is a new “How do you acquire users?” section, where you can categorise by Traffic Channel, Source/Medium and Referrals.

And having now been made available to 50% of users, the new Home screen will apparently be rolled-out to everyone over the next two weeks, the Google product manager said.
