New ‘Uber For Business Research’ Platform Zursh Launches

Zursh

A new company hoping to be “Uber for business research” has launched.

Zursh is a marketplace for business research that runs a reports platform that allows analysts to easily turn their knowledge into research reports.

The startup wants to “level the playing field for quality research” by making it available and affordable for every professional.

It aims to do this by creating new sources of supply for both research providers and reports, by tapping into larger pools of supply to significantly reduce the price, while maintaining the quality.

CEO Simon Sliman said: “Quality research doesn’t have to be expensive and time consuming. If what you are looking for is not already published in our members, you can name your own price, post your custom request, select the best researcher and receive data by your deadline.”

The company hopes to start 2017 with 1m research reports from publishers and new data providers.

All Zursh’s research reports are reviewed and assigned a score based on data quality, content originality, sources used and overall presentation.

James Carstensen, a researcher with Zursh said: “Zursh seems to be adopting a market position of quality over quantity — a position which is sorely needed in the online freelance marketplaces.”

Zursh was founded by ex-BCG researchers in 2014 and has offices in San Diego, California and Chile.

The company has so far raised $200K in public and private funding from investors including Startfast Venture Accelerator in New York, P18 in Puerto Rico and the Startup Chile scale fund.
