ooOo Founder Builds Versatile Software Ahead of Expansion

David Minns, Founder of dating sites including Saucy Dates and ooOo, has unveiled a new PHP technical backend that will allow for the rollout of multiple brands in quick succession.

He says that he will use the new technology to run a total of 10 services by the end of the year. These will be live across iOS, Android, desktop, mobile web and Kindle.

One of the first releases is Lisa50, a dating app for senior singles with a VIP membership option.

It comes with a raft of safety features, only asking users for their age instead of their date of birth as the latter is part of payment verification and may present a fraud risk.

Both the app and website contain advice on dating safety, and blocking users has been made extremely easy to do.

Lisa50 also integrates innovative moderation solutions, leading users to choose from a list of pre-approved display names to avoid profanity.

The platform reprimands those who share their social media tags on their profiles, as this could help them to circumvent VIP membership by moving to a different service with unlimited messaging.

The engineer wrote in a Medium post“My concept was to have a single code base that could power every device and within that any dating niche.

“I could then operate multiple dating apps and websites in different sectors and when I added a new feature it would ‘magically’ appear everywhere.”
