Playdate, a UK dating app for the single parent community, is partnering with Mapstr to give users suggestions for date locations. It recommends romantic bars, restaurants, activities, as well as child-friendly options.
Currently only covering London, the Playdate map has over 50 different venues highlighted for users who need inspiration when it comes to their in-person meet ups. The map can be found at this link.
Mapstr is an app that allows users to create a personal record of their favourite hotspots around the world and share it with friends. It also enables people to browse other user’s maps to find recommendations for places to visit.
“I’m delighted that we have had the chance to work with Mapstr to create the Playdate Map with over 50 locations across London that are perfect for a first date for single parents”, shared Playdate’s founder Nevine Coutry.
“As our app caters for single parents I think it’s always important to consider their needs in everything we do. Because of this I wanted to include family friendly date locations as well as romantic ones. I hope that this collaboration helps make dating that little bit easier for single parents”, Coutry added.
Ambroisine de Miramon, UK Business Development at Mapstr, shared “we are so excited to partner with Playdate, the UK’s first dating app for single parents, to create a map with the best London has to offer for busy single parents planning a date or for those looking for family friendly date ideas.”
Playdate recently received a £250,000 investment, Global Dating Insights reported. The platform has a variety of features that make the dating experience more convenient for single parents, including in-app access to childcare services and the ability to avoid being seen by ex-partners.
