Plenty of Fish Forms Advisory Board to Collect Member Feedback

Plenty of Fish has announced the creation of a new member advisory council which will be made up of real users.

Known as the ‘Member Pod’, the new board is designed to gain feedback from the Plenty of Fish community and help improve the overall dating experience. It is also believed to be the first organisation of its kind in the online dating industry.

The Match Group subsidiary surveyed 2,000 of its US-based singles and found that more than one-third of them have ideas about new features and updates that could potentially make the app better.

Furthermore, 37% think that only other daters truly understand the pressures of dating and, therefore, know how to improve it.

CEO Malgosia Green explained in a statement: “Our number one priority is to listen and learn from the people who matter most to us – our members. By creating a member advisory council, we can better understand the dating experience through insights and ideas directly from singles.”

The app is looking for a diverse group of users from across the US to join the team. They will have early access to new features and the opportunity to provide feedback to product developers, as well attending discussion meetings with Plenty of Fish executives.

Anyone who is interested in joining the ‘Member Pod’ needs to fill out an application form.

One new feature that is currently being tested is the capability for streaming. It was announced in November that Plenty of Fish was going to be one of the first products in the Match Group portfolio to include live video, following the technology’s success on other rival platforms.
