The League Offers Extra Matches Ahead of Valentine’s Day
The League is increasing the number of profiles its users can see in an attempt to make sure as many people as possible have dates for Valentine’s Day.
Any member who attends a ‘League Live’ speed-dating session for the first time on 7th, 10th or 14th February will receive an extra batch of potential matches. This also includes double the amount of profiles to review during ‘Happy Hour’.
Each day users are sent prospects at 5pm for The League’s ‘Happy Hour’, that the algorithm has determined could make a good match. The increased quantity shouldn’t reduce the quality of the suggestions.
‘League Live’ has been a very popular feature since it was first launched at the end of 2019. As one of the early virtual dating features it gained significant traction over the past 12 months and is now available in the majority of The League’s markets.
Participants sign in at 9pm and go on three speed dates that only last a maximum of two minutes. If both members enjoyed the conversation they ‘Like’ each other and can continue messaging each other on the app.
The League is also sharing stories from couples that it has helped to set up, to encourage single people to not give up and show them that a perfect date is just around the corner.
The stories range from couples who met within the first two weeks of using The League, all the way up to a woman who said she’d been on over 150 first dates during her time using a variety of dating apps.
