The Meet Group Announces Webinar to Discuss COVID Vaccine and Offline Dating

The Meet Group is hosting a webinar next week to give people the opportunity to ask questions about the vaccine roll-out and what it means for the future of online dating.

‘Dare To Date: The COVID Vaccine and Dating Safety’ is taking place on Tuesday, 23rd Match at 1:30pm ET and is completely free for anyone who wants to attend.

Matchmaker and podcast host Maria Avgitidis will appear as a guest moderator, alongside co-founder and SVP of Marketing Catherine Connelly.

Top epidemiologists and health experts from The Meet Group’s Safer Dating Advisory Board are also going to participate. This includes Dr. Aniruddha Hazra, Dr. Tali Elfassy and Dr. Melissa Sharp.

The webinar will discuss the importance of a vaccine program, the continued risk of transmission, and a potential roadmap for the resumption of offline dates. A Q&A session will also follow to allow the audience to ask any further queries they have.

The Safer Dating Advisory Board was formed in July 2020 in an effort to improve the safety standards across the industry.

They provide guidance and relay the latest research on the developing pandemic situation, which helps The Meet Group continue connecting its users while also making sure they were safe and healthy.

One of its first influences was the introduction of a new preference feature on MeetMe. Users are able to display whether or not they are open to offline dates and if they’d prefer to wear masks or maintain social distancing.
