Tinder Suffered Global Outages Last Night

Japanese Government

Tinder went down yesterday for a short period of time, with some users around the world reporting losing their matches.

The company apparently acknowledged the problem on Twitter, before deleting the tweets.

According to DownDetector.com, the problems lasted on & off over the night for about 10 hours in Europe, Australia and the US.

Some users found that logging out and back in fixed the problem of missing matches & conversations.

Tinder went down earlier this year in May, the company quickly apologising to users for the inconvenience.

As with previous outages, which have been linked to Facebook in the past, members took to Twitter to confirm the problems, with some companies even using the opportunity to promote their own app.

Last month it was announced Tinder was opening a new office in Silicon Valley, as it looks to double its workforce in 18 months.

It’s been a busy year for Tinder so far, launching new products like Tinder Boost, Stacks and Smart Photos, as well as backing Hey! VINA and integrating with Spotify.
