Upward Introduces ‘Sermon Series’ For Young Christian Daters
Upward, Match Group’s newest Affinity brand for young Christian singles, has introduced the launch of its ‘Sermon Series’ to cover the latest updates and teachings.
The dating app is collaborating with a number of notable pastors from across the US to film exclusive sermons and create resources which tackle relevant topics that Gen Z and Millennials are facing today.
The first session comes from Craig Groeschel, founder and senior pastor of Life.Church, to talk about ‘#RelationshipGoals’. He will address the issues of using a dating app as a Christian and what Christ would think of people using modern technology to find love.
Alexis Ferraro, VP of Marketing and Communications for Match Affinity, said in a statement: “At Upward we understand the challenges of modern faith-based dating and saw the need to expand our services to include additional resources for young Christians that aid in our overall mission to connect like-minded believers.
“It is our hope that this Sermon Series will bring relevant and timely insights from top faith leaders to our Upward family, creating even more ways for them to connect in faith.”
Some of the other pastors to create content include Grace United’s Harrison Guillory and Dr. Lina Abujamra, who based their respective presentations around COVID-19 vaccination awareness and important dating messages for young Christian women.
The ‘Sermon Series’ is available to users and non-users through Upward’s dedicated blog page, and will be regularly updated with fresh content.
Ferraro appeared on The GDI Podcast last month to talk more about how Upward works and its aims for the community, as well as the recent Easter promotion that helped users send virtual cards to their partner, family and friends.
