Internet trends research has uncovered which dating apps users are most keen to delete from their phones. It looked at global search volumes relating to questions around how to delete certain apps.
Tinder was found to be the app that users tried to delete the most, with an average of 45,000 searches globally each month. For example, there are 19,000 searches globally each month for “how to delete Tinder account”.
In second place is Badoo, part of the Bumble parent company. There are 22,000 worldwide searches each month relating to how to delete the app. However, the platform has still seen significant growth, gathering 60 million users between 2015 and 2021.
In third place is Plenty of Fish, with 18,100 deletion related searches made on Google globally every month. In fourth and fifth place is Bumble and Happn.
The study was conducted by Dua.com, a dating platform that helps connect people of the same nationality, no matter where they live across the globe.
Valon Asani from Dua.com said, “Daters are becoming more aware of what they want from not only relationships, but also the apps that enable said relationships. This study offers a fascinating insight into which apps are the least favourable among users and it will be interesting to see if this ranking changes as 2023 continues.”
