Wink Tech, the Singapore-based dating app developer, has added a new app to its portfolio. Duet is a newly launched platform that uses a smart tag feature to help singles find individuals with similar interests.
The new platform has the tagline ‘Meet People You Resonate With’, and is based around matching singles who have shared interests, values, and passions. This is done through a comprehensive smart tag system.
Duet users are required to pick out descriptions or activities that sum up their interests and values, including “visiting the flea market on weekends”, “skydiving”, or being “family oriented”.
The platform shares that this helps users build a three-dimensional profile, finding “resonance” with a potential match, and going beyond simply mutual interests.
The platform also highlighted that it operates a dating quiz which connects people who answer daily questions in a similar way. This breaks the ice and lets them continue to find commonalities.
Duet is the latest platform to be created by Wink Tech, which also operates the dating app Omi. According to Data.ai’s State of Mobile 2023 report, Omi was the most downloaded dating app in Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
