Bumble Adds Searchable Usernames

Bumble has introduced Handles, an optional feature that lets users find dating profiles through unique usernames. The feature is available to iOS users in the US and adds a way to connect beyond the app’s profile recommendations.

Users can share their handle with someone they meet in person, pass it to friends arranging an introduction, or post it on social media. This lets them share their dating profile without giving out a phone number or access to a personal social account. Both users must still match before they can exchange messages. Users can switch off their handle at any time to stop others from finding them through search.
