Grindr Introduces ‘Right Now’ Feature to 15 New Cities

Grindr is rolling out its Right Now feature in 15 new cities across North America, Europe, and South America, offering users a streamlined way to find real-time connections. Following successful trials in Australia and Washington, D.C., the feature is now available in major metropolitan areas including New York, Los Angeles, London, Miami, Paris, Madrid, Milan, and São Paulo.

Designed to cut through the back-and-forth of traditional online dating, Right Now provides a dedicated feed where users can indicate their immediate availability. Rather than scrolling through profiles and guessing who’s interested, users can post exactly what they’re looking for in the moment. Each listing remains active for just one hour, ensuring that connections are truly in real time. The feature is integrated into the app’s main navigation, sidebar, and grid, allowing users to browse active posts or create their own. Those who prefer not to post can still explore the feed to see who is available.

According to Grindr, Right Now was developed in response to user feedback, particularly from those seeking more immediate, no-nonsense meetups. The company plans to expand the feature further in the coming months, with additional cities expected to be added soon.

Currently, all Grindr users receive 10 free Right Now sessions per week – seemingly an increased amount compared to the original concept – with the option to purchase additional sessions if desired. Available on both iOS and Android, the feature aims to make casual connections faster and more efficient for users in some of the world’s most active LGBTQ+ communities.
