Tinder Continues ‘Summer Singles Series’ Real-Life Social Events
After over a year of regularly-scheduled social meetups among Tinder members, the platform’s unique get-together events are still going strong with a special ice cream social event in Brooklyn this Sunday.
As part of Tinder’s “Single Summer Series,” the event was initially part of a larger attempt to push singles “back out there” during busy summer months. This initiative was designed to facilitate connections that might otherwise stay completely digital, and initially began in May of last year.
The ice cream social will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Marsha P. Johnson State Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Tinder has partnered with Smorgasburg, a well-known open-air food market that operates weekly across various locations in New York City, to add an extra layer of excitement to the day.
Attendees can RSVP for the free event, offering a unique chance to connect with other singles in the city while enjoying a fun and lighthearted atmosphere. Tinder members gain exclusive early access tickets to these events, with each event offering different experiences in different parts of the United States.
While this is far from the first time a dating platform has nudged its users to meet in real life, Tinder has been able to provide a consistent range of real-life dating meetups, each with its own unique flair. Opinions still seem universally positive, meaning that these events could become a core feature for Tinder’s more dedicated user base.
