Tinder’s Passport Feature Expands for Solo Travelers

Tinder has launched the Solo Traveler’s Guide to Tinder Passport™, catering to the growing trend of solo travel among Gen Z and millennial adventurers. This new guide supports Tinder users in making global connections before and during their travels, offering valuable safety tips and advice for exploring new destinations.

With travel being the top interest for Tinder users worldwide, Passport Mode now appears directly on user profiles, helping them connect with locals and fellow travelers before even arriving. This feature is particularly popular in the Asia-Pacific region, where 78% of young singles express a desire to make connections before traveling.

Tinder Passport allows users to change their location to their upcoming destination, facilitating conversations with locals for insider tips and meeting fellow travelers. Papri Dev, Tinder’s VP of APAC Communications, highlighted that the guide empowers solo travelers to form new bonds and make the most of their adventures with confidence.

This is an incredibly useful tool for Tinder users, but also has the upside of making Tinder more practical as an all-purpose dating and social site. While the platform could previously be used while traveling with a little bit of manual settings-tweaking, this dedicated Passport Mode makes the process much more convenient – and keeps users within Tinder’s ecosystem.
