An article by John Moore on CIO gives us an insight behind the scenes at eHarmony and their business intelligence platform.
Their data warehouse includes: “IBM’s Netezza TwinFin appliance and the company’s PureData System. A MicroStrategy-based analytics layer sits atop the data warehouse. IBM’s SPSS predictive analytics package, the R machine-learning software environment and Informatica data integration software also augment the data warehouse.”
eHarmony uses this platform to assess the most popular features on desktop, in order to eventually bring them to mobile.
Their conversion rates on mobile have apparently increased by 25% since January.
