Would my happily married parents have braved a long-distance relationship to stay together for 30 years, if they could just load up Tinder and swipe through new matches?
That’s what video reporter Craig Schattner asks in the latest episode of Dated, a docuseries about dating in DC.
Schattner explores why online dating works for some people, but not for others, and how dating technology has changed the way we approach dating, relationships and created a paradox of choice.
And with online dating rising in status and prevalence, he asks whether we are moving towards a world where the question “how did you meet?”, becomes “what site did you meet on?”.
The episode is the third in the series, check out the rest of the instalments here.
