PBS Newshour has shared an abridged version of a chapter from Stanford professor Paul Oyer’s book: Everything I Ever Needed to Know About Economics I Learned from Online Dating.
Although online dating and economics don’t seem like a natural pairing, Oyer assures us that the two are very much connected.
In the piece, he discusses the discrimination through stereotype that takes place on dating sites, whether consciously or not.
As a recently divorced man, he looks at the different types of separated men, and how this can be used as an example of the relationship between online dating and personal economics.
